Candace Hunziker is a person of exceptional character and dedication, and I’ve been consistently impressed by her spirit of service and commitment to community.

During the pandemic, when we were all isolated, Candace, as President of her neighborhood HOA, worked tirelessly to keep the community connected. She organized driveway concerts, food-truck suppers, and a rolling Halloween parade so no child felt alone. Her efforts kept the community's spirit bright during a dark time.

At the same time, Candace was also spearheading the expansion of the chiropractic clinic where she works. She helped grow the business from two to four locations, recruited and trained a 14-member team, and guided a complete rebrand and IT overhaul. Her ability to manage such a demanding professional project while simultaneously serving her community is a testament to her preparedness and professionalism.

Candace's steady leadership, rooted in compassion and honed by experience, is exactly the kind of service I am proud to endorse.

I have known Candace for seven years. She introduced me to my neighborhood after moving here from the Midwest.

She is an avid “never give up” person and advocate for all people. Candace would be tremendous for our community and look forward to watching her increase excitement among voters!!

Candace has a heart of gold. She is passionate and hard working and will always go above and beyond for the good of her fellow neighbor. Her vision for Pittsboro is ideal for growth but more importantly to protect our home town feel and small business that is essential to our town. She will not be swayed by bully politics and will run with heart. I will be very proud to vote for her!

I am proud to endorse my friend and neighbor, Candace Hunziker, for Pittsboro Town Council. She has both the heart and the backbone to fight for what matters most to our community.

As president of our HOA through 2024, Candace fought for clean water and trees and worked tirelessly on stormwater issues—even when her own home flooded. I’ll never forget bailing water with her in her basement; instead of complaining, she went right back to finding solutions.

Her home, always full of rescued animals (especially Pit Bulls), says everything about her compassion, loyalty, and persistence. She listens, tells the truth, and never backs down when something needs to be done.

One of my greatest concerns for Pittsboro is that families who have lived here for generations are being priced out of their own town. Affordable housing and thoughtful growth are not abstract issues—they’re the heartbeat of our future. I know Candace will fight to protect our sense of community and ensure Pittsboro remains a place where all of us, not just newcomers or developers, can continue to call home.

In a time when we need leaders with both courage and compassion, Candace is exactly who we need. I trust her completely to protect what makes Pittsboro special.
